The Keypod
The Keypod (£300.00)
The Keypod enables control of a multi function lanc controlled video camera using a single switch or sensor. Alternatively multiple switches or sensors can be programmed to control multiple functions, for example: play/record; stop/start; pan/tilt/; and zoom /wide angle.
The Keypod is powered by a standard 9v battery and is attached to a monopod arm for use with a wheelchair or shoulder harness.
Equipment set up
Use the keypod with a wheel chair rig containing, an electronic pan and tilt head, a miniDV camera, an optional additional monitor, and up to four switches. Each switch can be programmed to operate any of 8 functions.
For example: Switch A - Right head button, controls camera movement left and right.
Switch B - elbow switch, controls the record and pause function of camera.
Switch C - Left head button, controls telephoto and zoom.
